Chronology of cameras Fex Indo
The versions numbering is as used in "La photo toute simple" published by the Nièpce Lumière Club.
From 1951, the Ultra-Fex will in a small cartridge, the inscription "Himalaya" to commemorate an unfortunate French expedition in these mountains. The writing is made on a small metal plate inserted into an oval recess of the body front . At the bottom of the hollow lies, hot printed, the inscription "France". So from 1951, one can find a version with the plate "Himalaya" or with the inscription "France".
This specimen of the version 14 of the Ultra-Fex is not marked "Himalaya", but only "France". The lens and viewfinder are both fitted with a chrome bezel. The hook is made of plastic ... and fragile. The shaft buttons are showing a diamond shape surface with two bands.
